keyboard with the enter key highlightedAccessible Internet Multimedia is available on the scheduled dates and also as independent study at any time. Educational and other information providers on the Internet are increasingly using multimedia as a means to disseminate information. Multimedia poses special problems, but at the same time -- unique opportunities for reaching people with disabilities. Providing transcriptions, captions and descriptive video synchronized with the media is a real challenge.

This course will give step-by-step instruction in how and when to provide transcriptions and synchronized captions. The course is ideal for web masters, information technologists, instructional technologists, disabled students, staff, human recourse professionals, librarians and more.

Accessible Internet Multimedia is optional for the EASI/USM certificate. Course content will be available asynchronously on the web. Class discussion may also happen in a synchronous online chat room.

This exciting course is brought to you by a dynamic partnership between Equal Access to Software and Information (EASI) and TecAccess.
