TecAccess Expands Reach, Hires Accessibility Leader

TecAccess, the leading provider of accessibility and risk management services, announced today the hiring of Guido D. Corona as the newest Senior Accessibility Engineer Corona comes to TecAccess via IBM, where he held various roles from 1982 to 2009.

Corona, who has a bachelor´s degree in computer science from York University (Toronto), began his career with IBM as a software engineer. Throughout his tenure with the technology giant, Corona took on many roles, including leadership and relationship management as well as technical support management. In 1998, he transferred to Austin, Texas, to the IBM USA Accessibility Center, where, among other things, he led a team of seven professionals who were responsible for managing the product test cycle of a talking web browser and speech viewer. During his time in Austin, Corona also filed several patents, including one that makes a 3-D virtual world accessible for the blind.
Since joining TecAccess, Corona has developed Flash, ARIA technical accessibility best practice documents, and Section 508 Refresh strategies for TecAccess clients. He has also served as an accessibility consultant for U.S. and Canadian financial, health, education, government and private sectors.
