Debra Ruh to Speak at National Employer Summit

Debra Ruh, Founder and Chairman of TecAccess, the leading accessibility and workforce solutions provider, has been asked to help lead a panel discussion during the 2008 National Employer Summit. Described by FORTUNE Magazine as a "Win/Win Solution" (May 29, 2006), the inaugural National Employer Summit, Workplaces and Workforces in Transition produced recommendations for employers to create successful workplaces for women and families. The Summit is helping to create actionable strategies for these new networks over the coming years from both public policy and a workplace practice perspectives.
Ruh´s impressive panel will address the theme of implementing flexibility in the workplace. Joining Ruh on the panel will be Ariane Hegewisch, of the Institute for Women´s Policy Studies, to talk about her new report, "Statutory routes to workplace flexibility in cross-national perspective" and how the government can encourage workplace flexibility for care giving, lifelong learning and gradual retirement. Also on the panel is Kirsten Nathanson, Partner at Cromwell & Morning, who made partner by working part-time, to talk about her story and how to make part-time schedules work. Ruh will add to this lineup by explaining how technology can be beneficial for flexible work schedules and hiring of diverse segments of the workforce.
The highly anticipated panel will be held from 11 to 12 on Friday, June 20 in Washington, DC at the Academy for Educational Development (AED). The National Employer Summit promises a unique collection of national professionals, sharing tested workplace strategies, along with expert programming.
