Dana Marlowe, Senior Vice President of Business Development, recently returned from Tunisia, as well as Peru, where see met with world leaders to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

On August 28-31, 2007, Marlowe served as a keynote speaker at the Conference and Workshop on Assistive Technologies for People with Vision and Hearing Impairments - Assistive Technology for All Ages in Granada, Spain. CVHI ´07 is the fifth event in a highly anticipated series of conferences that are funded through the European Commission as part of the CWST project.

"This year´s CVHI event in Granada was the ideal time for government leaders, disability advocates, adaptive technology vendors, and leading researchers to share their best practice solutions for the future," explains Marlowe. " A wide range of expertise was represented, allowing conference participants to combine their knowledge and enthusiasm for making technology more user friendly for all."

Dr. Axel Plinge and Dr. Marion Hersh joined Marlowe, presenting "Neuro-Cognitive Processing and Sensory Impairment: Lessons for the Design of Assistive Technology." In addition, Dr. Barthèlèmy Durette and Dr. Sylvie Treuillet presented "Improving Social Life and Communication of People with Disabilities by using Internet Facilities," while Dr. Adina Lonescu delivered "Assistive Technology for Deaf Blind People: Current State-of-the-Art, Design and End-User Issues."

CVHI 2007 also included a series of stirring panel discussions ranging from Assistive Technology and Social Inclusion for Deaf and Hearing Impaired People from Ethnic and Other Minority Groups to Telephony and Other Services for Hearing Impaired People.

Krakow, Poland is being discussed as the destination for the next CVHI conference and festivities.
