Manakin Sabot-January 1, 2006-- TecAccess, LLC, an award-winning provider of Section 508 compliance and electronic and information technology (E&IT) accessibility solutions for domestic and international clients in government, education, and private industry is pleased to have sponsored several causes in 2005 aimed at bettering the lives of people with disabilities The Hanover Association for Retarded Citizens (Arc) Awareness March, the Ms. Wheelchair VA "Celebration of Life" festival, the Ms. Wheelchair VA pageant, and the Hanover County Friends of Supported Employees (FoSE) in the past year.
TecAccess, LLC sponsored the bus ride from Ashland, VA to the Arc of Virginia March in downtown Richmond, VA on October 1, 2005; this statewide march included Arc groups from across the state. During late summer 2005, TecAccess raised money for the Miss Wheelchair Virginia "Celebration of Life" festival. Also during the past summer, TecAccess, LLC was invited to join the Hanover County chapter of FoSE, creating an opportunity to assist the Hanover Community Services´ Supported Employment Program by empowering employees with disabilities in the community.
TecAccess, LLC sponsored the Miss Wheelchair Virginia pageant in March 2005, and will continue this tradition in 2006 TecAccess will sponsor the pageant, as well as one of the pageant´s contestants, Doris Waugh, whose platform will focus on the importance of Section 508 compliant and accessible electronic and information technology (E&IT). TecAccess embraces sponsorships opportunities that will fulfill the company´s commitment to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
