Rockville, VA-- May 31, 2003-- Because all Americans, including those with disabilities, should be aware of terrorism alerts, precautions against terrorist attacks, and other circumstances affecting our nation´s safety, the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has asked TecAccess to train its employees on Section 508 Compliance. Deb Ruh, President and Founder of TecAccess, will hold a training class on the subject on June 11, 2003, in Springfield, Virginia.

Section 508 is the amendment to the Workforce Rehabilitation Act of 1973 that was signed into law by President Clinton in 1998. It requires all federal departments, agencies, contractors, and federally funded companies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. The law covers the development, maintenance, procurement, and use of these technologies.
