Rockville, VA-- August 20, 2003-- TecAccess, a worldwide leader in Information Technology Accessibility and Section 508 Solutions, announced today that it held training sessions for Camber Corporation. Debra Ruh, Founder and President of TecAccess, conducted two training sessions for Camber associates. They focused on developing e-learning, websites, and software applications that are Section 508 compliant, conforming, and accessible.

"I was extremely pleased with the Section 508 training for Camber Corporation provided by TecAccess," said Denise Threlfall, PhD, Director of Strategic Business Solutions for Camber. "Debra Ruh was an outstanding facilitator with a depth of knowledge on the topic, providing very vivid examples. Her dedication to accessibility issues shows not only from a personal standpoint but by living it each day with the staff she employs. Debra helped us to understand the constraints of each disability and how we, as customized courseware developers, can build our courses to be Section 508 conforming."

"Our staff was so positive about the training sessions and how interactive they were. In fact, they were excited to learn strategies that would assist them in each of their particular areas of expertise (programming, graphics, and instructional design). They were relieved that what they thought they needed to do and what they actually needed to do in order to implement Section 508 was within their current skill sets. Debra provided our staff with an informative, interactive, and timely training session on a very important topic. We look forward to future opportunities with TecAccess."

Section 508 is the amendment to the Workforce Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which was signed into law by President Clinton in 1998. It requires all federal departments, agencies, contractors, and federally funded companies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. The law covers their development, maintenance, procurement, and use of these technologies.
