IT Accessibility Review
Volume 1, Number 7
President´s Corner
Change is foremost on my mind this month, as I prepare for the IDEAS 2005 Conference in Washington D.C., where I will be a guest presenter focusing on Section 508 Compliance, and E&IT Accessibility Testing Tools and Methodologies. You might ask, "What does this have to do with change?"
The world of Section 508 Compliance and E&IT Accessibility has everything to do with change! At TecAccess, we thrive on change. Our talented team of skilled associates are constantly striving to create new, innovative solutions to meet our clients´ needs. These dedicated associates, many of whom are disabled, are not satisfied with just staying within the boundaries of the guidelines set down by Section 508; instead, they are dedicated to change. They are dedicated to going above and beyond these guidelines; for only with forward thinking and embracing change can the ideas of new solutions and tomorrow´s new technologies come into being.
So, as I prepare my presentation for the IDEAS 2005 Conference, my message will go beyond that of maintaining the status quo to meet industry guidelines; it will be a message of implementing progressive change that will propel the E&IT industry forward, which will ultimately have a positive impact on end-users- people with disabilities; giving them a fully accessible world of technology that empowers them to lead independent, productive, successful lives.
