TecAccess Center Stage
Meet Kelley Kramer
Kelley is a Program Manager for TecAccess, and works closely with Debra Ruh, President and Founder. TecAccess has projects for clients all over the world, and Kelley is responsible for managing many of these accounts. She is the clients´ contact at TecAccess, and she works to ensure that all projects are on time and on budget.
Kelley has two children, ages 4 and 8, both of whom have autism. Although Kelley has a Master´s degree in vocational rehabilitation and a wealth of experience working with persons with disabilities, her children´s disabilities prevented her from working a typical schedule.
Debra says, "Kelley not only keeps projects on track, but she knows so much about persons with disabilities and the struggles they have faced in the workplace. Her ability to TeleWork, along with TecAccess´ unique business model, has allowed Kelley to really utilize her skills and education."
According to Kelley, TecAccess provides the ideal work venue for parents of kids with disabilities. She can work her schedule around her family´s needs, and is part of the emerging trend toward IT accessibility. Kelley knows many parents of kids with disabilities, many of whom are unemployed or underemployed due to the challenges of care giving. TecAccess not only keeps highly skilled professionals in the workforce, but also understands about the challenges of raising kids with disabilities.
Debra explains, "Right away, Kelley understood the role TecAccess plays and the importance this particular company plays in the lives of persons with disabilities. Her educational and work backgrounds, along with her personal experience, were the perfect combination we needed. She realized very quickly that we´re the benchmark when it comes to assessment and maintenance of Section 508 compliance and we meet that mark through the hiring of associates with disabilities."
Kelley is intrigued when she attends business meetings or conferences and eyebrows raise when she mentions she works for TecAccess. She was shocked to discover the worldwide reputation of TecAccess and the many multi-national corporations it serves.
"Debra is truly a pioneer when it comes to hiring persons with disabilities," Kelley states. "Everyone I contact knows of TecAccess´ integrity and mission. It feels so good to work for a company with such a stellar reputation. My clients know of our dedication to accessibility and that we truly ´walk the walk´."
Debra says, "It is my hope that Kelley can continue to grow in her career here at TecAccess. Disability is part of our business, and we know we provide the ideal situation for parents of kids with disabilities."
