As the Chief Operating Officer for TecAccess, Bob English is primarily responsible for Strategy, Sales and Marketing. Bob works for the continued growth of the company through strong customer and partner relationships. TecAccess is a leading provider of accessible Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) solutions for the world´s largest and fastest growing minority group - People with Disabilities. Since the company´s inception in 2001, TecAccess´ suite of services have ensured that clients in the corporate and government sectors meet their accessibility needs. Headquartered in Virginia (USA), TecAccess embraces a telecommuting model which allows some of the world´s most skilled technologists, many of whom also happen to have disabilities, to work from their homes. This award-winning team of technology experts utilize their firsthand experience of living with a disability and assistive technologies to help large corporations around the world better understand this population of potential employees and customers.
Upon joining TecAccess in 2007, Bob has helped grow the organization into a profitable multi-million dollar company that is today the most awarded provider of professional accessibility and usability testing, training, and remediation in the United States. Additionally, Bob has been instrumental in community outreach efforts and educating the public on the value of accessible design. He has worked with partnering organizations and award committees, such as the US New Freedom Initiative, Dell Computers, Wells Fargo, and the US Small Business Administration. Bob has also helped secure speaking and training events for TecAccess throughout North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Prior to TecAccess, Bob´s impressive career includes significant executive management experience with Fortune 500 companies in the financial services and telecommunications sectors. Most recently as Senior Vice President with Fidelity Information Services where responsibilities included product planning, sales and business process improvement. Additional career highlights include Vice President at Alltel Information Services (telecommunications) and at Computer Power Inc (software / service bureau). With expertise ranging from technology to business management, Bob has a rich history of serving as a successful liaison between the technology, business and sales sectors. In addition, he has directly managed a myriad of technology teams ranging from development to engineering to sales and customer support.
Career successes are important. However, Bob is most proud of his role as father to his two amazing sons, ages 7 and 10.
