Course Overview:
In the past Instructional Designers had to make a choice between making training accessible to ALL learners or making it appealing to the majority. Today, thanks to innovative technology, not only in the learning arena, but also to those who need alternative access we can deliver innovative and interesting training to all learners, including those who might not have been able to access it before. This workshop is targeted towards training decision makers and influencers within organizations who need/want to progress their awareness of making their training more accessible to audiences with disabilities. This workshop is also relevant and pertinent for vendors who have an interest in reviewing the accessibility of their solutions and products to this marketplace. The course touches on the challenges the learner may face, some of the options for addressing these challenges, Return on Investment and Incentives available to organizations that make their training accessible as well as hands on reviews and discussion. Surveys, summaries, reviews, findings and analysis from the participants will be used to create a hand out which will be distributed to the audience at no charge.
