Audience: The course is intended for marketing executives, public relations officials, risk managers, product managers, developers and other technical staff who need to understand social media, the accessibility of social media, social media policy, and emerging media tools and techniques available to ensure accessibility.

Course Overview:

This course will provide an overview of social media, current climate, the need for social media policies, and how to meet accessibility guidelines on social media platforms. The instructor will review Section 508, new usability solutions, best practices, and how to create a customized accessible "tab" on Facebook Fan Pages. We will explore how these new technologies can be used to improve the accessibility and usability of Web resources by people with disabilities.
