Course Overview:
This is an overview of best practices for making accessible documents from the Microsoft Office suite of applications. In particular, we examine Microsoft Word and PowerPoint documents and the challenges of making each accessible. Course elements include:
- General overview on what makes a document accessible
- Planning your document(s) for accessibility
- Using Styles to specify document structure
- Table structure and proper use of table headings
- Alternative Text: What is it and how to use it effectively
- Color contrast do´s and don´ts
- Use of animation and media in your PowerPoint presentations
- Alternative accessible formats for PowerPoint presentations
