Course Overview:

This course is designed to provide a technical overview of the Section 508 Web and Software standards. Although not addressed to the same level of detail as TEC-SW-001 or TEC-SW-002, this course reviews the relevant and unique technical standards of 1194.21 Software Applications and Operating Systems and 1194.22 Web-based Intranet and Internet Information and Applications at a high level. The course is intended to expose web and software developers, designers and technical maintenance staff to these important technical standards to help them understand the standards at a top level, and determine where additional technical training on either web or software standards may be required to meet their business needs. Best Practices for incorporating accessibility and compliance to Section 508 standards will be addressed in brief as part of the course.
